Good Afternoon, all...
I am needing to find someone who is willing to cast a prototype or two in ductile iron and/or ZA-12. I have developed two prototypes. Prototype #1 is out for casting on a time available basis. It's been six weeks and expecting another two or three weeks to receive the cast version back. Prototype #2 is ready for casting. It is a wood pattern. The maximum weight of any professional horseshoe is 2 lbs. 10 ozs. My design adds a little additional volume that might exceed the limit. Therefore, I am interested in having a casting in ZA-12 and ductile iron of Prototype #2. I am hoping to find someone who can turnaround the casting fairly quickly. The coming horseshoe season is rapidly approaching and would like to have a model available after approval by the National Horseshoe Pitchers Association. After I receive the prototype in return it will undergo live testing. This may lead to a production situation. If interested, please contact me and let me know cost, whether you're willing to create the mold from my pattern and how quickly I can have the casting returned.
Thanks for looking...Bob
